The following is a guide that covers how to set up your new Keytracker Installation. Here you can find an overview of the steps included in the Keytracker setup and instructions on installing the software on your computerl. If you are installing a network version of our software, please contact our technical department on +44(0)121 559 9000 for installation instructionsRunning The Keytracker Setup The first step is to insert your copy of Keytracker into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. Once inserted, autorun should kick-in and take over, which will automatically detect and load the installation from the CD. If autorun is disabled, or when the CD is inserted nothing appears to be happening, don't worry. Simply go to "Start -> My Computer" then double click on your default CD drive. If autorun still does not occur, then double click on "Keytracker.exe" in the next window. This will definately load the Installation. But if problems still happen, please do not hesitate to contact us.
You should see a screen appear on your monitor, similar to the one below (Click Image To Zoom):  You are now on the first screen of the Keytracker Installation. To proceed from this screen, click "next". You will then be presented with a screen that displays our license agreement for the software. It is advised to read through these terms fully to ensure that you are happy to have the Keytracker software on your machine(s). To continue, the license agreement has to be agreed with. Select "I accept the license agreement" then click "next". The Installation will then prompt for some user information. If you have already purchased an extended license key from us, then you will need to enter the name used to register the key in the "Name" field. If you are evaluating the product then you can enter an employee or computer name. (See image Below).
Once this information has been entered and you have clicked "Next", The Keytracker installation wizard is now ready to install the software to your machine (See Image Below). Once you click next on this screen, you will see the installation wizard copying the necessary files to run the software to your computer. 
Once the wizard has completed this part of the operation, it will prompt you to let you know that it is ready to install the database portion of the software (MSDE). This is the most important part of the installation process. If this is done incorrectly the software may not function properly. Ensure that you have not got a current installation of the database (MSDE). If you are updating your Keytracker software, please contact us for upgrade information. On this window, you will need to click the button that says, "Install MSDE". Please ensure this is clicked only once. Once clicked, the wizard will begin installing components need to run the database and the database server. Your screen should resemble the pictures below. (This portion of the process may take several minutes, in some cases even up to 20-30 minutes).  
When the popup window has confirmed completion of this installation, it is ok to proceed through the steps of the Keytracker Installation. You should then be left with a screen like the one below. To continue with installation, click "Next". 
All that is left to do now is to complete the steps within the dialig box by again, clicking "Next". (See picture Below) 
Congratulations! Your new Keytracker software should now be installed completely on your system. If you experience any problems or have any questions regarding the installation of our software, then please call us on +44(0)121 559 9000. ***When you first run Keytracker, you will be asked for a username and password. These should be the default values. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "keytracker". Just as a reminder, it is recommended that once the installation has completed, that you reboot your machine. Ensure that you have started the MSDE server by clicking "Start -> All Programs -> MSDE -> then click on "Service Manager". Ensure that MSSQL Server is up and running.
